At The Short Sale Negotiator, as the manager of The Negotiated Solution and the provider of the Full Service Option, we treat your personal financial information with the utmost integrity.  We value the trust you place in us by choosing The Short Sale Negotiator for your personal financial needs, and we work hard to maintain your trust and confidence.  The information in this notice is to inform you of what we do with the personal financial information you have provided.

Information we collect about you

We collect nonpublic personal information (NPI) about you, as a current and former customer, from the following sources:

  1. information provided by you on applications or other forms (such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income);
  2. information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others (such as your account balances, payment history, parties to transactions and credit card transactions); and
  3. information we receive from a consumer reporting agency (such as your creditworthiness and credit history).

What we do with information we collect

We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above.

Whom we may share information with

We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you, as described above, with our partner affiliates within The Short Sale Negotiator.  Our affiliates offer a variety of services (including, but not limited to, mortgage banking, real estate sales, title services, mortgage closing, real estate attorneys, and financial counseling services) and, as permitted by law, we may share information among our affiliates for authorized purposes.

We also may disclose all nonpublic personal information about you, described above, to companies that provide specialized services to us that are critical to our own operations (such as data processing services, online banking services, and check printing and imaging services).

We may also disclose all nonpublic personal information about you, at your discretion, to account aggregation and bill pay service providers, and mortgage lending and servicing companies.  These companies may have access to information that includes your outstanding debts, investment balances, and your overall financial condition.  These companies provide personal financial management tools and may assist us in performing the particular service that you have specifically requested. 

We also may disclose all of the information we collect, as described above, to companies we have selected to perform marketing services on our behalf or to other institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements.  Those companies, we engage to provide such services, are contractually required to protect your information and to use it only for the specific purpose authorized.

We also may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to the following types of non-affiliated third parties: financial service providers such as mortgage lending and servicing companies, or insurance agents and mortgage bankers, unless you direct us otherwise.

We may also disclose non-public personal information about you to non-affiliated third parties permitted by law.

If you don’t want us to share your information

If you prefer that we not disclose non-public personal information about you to our affiliates and non-affiliated third parties, you may “opt out” of these disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than
disclosures permitted by law). Your opt-out direction will be in force even if your customer relationship with us ends. If you wish to opt out of disclosures to non-affiliated third parties, please contact us at privacy@thenegotiatedsolution.com.You should know that under certain state and federal statutes we may be required by law to disclose information about you. This may occur in situations such as in connection with a subpoena, if you are involved in litigation, or the sale of your account to another institution. Any of the nonpublic information described above may be disclosed as required in these circumstances.

Information Security

The Short Sale Negotiator is committed to protecting the security of our customer information. The Short Sale Negotiator maintains strict internal policies regarding confidentiality of customer information for both current and previous customers.  We limit access to this information to only those employees who need it in order to perform their task(s). We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your non public information. We assess our information security systems as new technologies emerge and upgrade our systems as needed.
